MOUNT PLEASANT, SC – Back in 2008, a unique marketing services organization was born. Q4Launch was the result of hardworking entrepreneurs who understood how b&b hotel and vacation rental web design and inbound marketing form the perfect marriage to help businesses grow. More so, they understood how to do it right.
Over time, and a couple of beers, Q4Launch evolved to focus on marketing for boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts and vacation rentals. Today, business is booming. As proof, this fast-growing marketing company went from three employees to 35 in just three years.
In 2016, Q4Launch established 12 Core Values to support employees following an exciting year of growth. The values were also created (and plastered all over the office walls) to help the team stay focused in anticipation of yet another banner year.

“Our culture evolved naturally,” Bare said. “Mostly from hiring people who were smart, customer-oriented, curious, marketing-savvy and fun! It worked too! We are so proud of our team. But we can’t rest on our laurels, and we can’t take anything for granted. Our culture is critical to our combined success, and that of our customers, and we need to nurture it.”

The values are reinforced and rewarded on a regular basis. Each month, team members “gnominate” coworkers for exemplifying one or more of the core values. The leadership team then votes on the “gnominees,” and the winner receives a Q4Launch Gnome of Excellence for their desk, along with a small gift.
Why gnomes, you ask? Just like the garden gnomes who protect precious underground treasures, the Q4Launch Gnomes of Excellence protect the precious foundation of their culture and values. And they’re just fun!
Customer Involvement Encouraged
“We want to share this information because we want everyone to know what we value as a company and what our commitment is to our clients,” Bare said. “We also hope that when our customers read this, they nod in recognition because they’ve already experienced these values from our staff.”
Q4Launch also created a way for customers to help them keep their core values alive as they continue to grow! Customers can gnominate employees whenever they notice their behavior resonating with Q4Launch’s core values.
“Our goal is to delight our customers, and we want to know when that happens. We also want to recognize our employees for a job well done,” Bare said.
